  1. Hi everyone , i repaired my Payback £100 jp. by QPS . I ordered a reconditioned Scorpion 6 board from ebay, i removed old board from machine and removed the PIC chip from old board and fitted to the new one. installed new motherboard to machine . Using pen drive with the file Fruitsnappa sent me and followed the on screen info. Once the game was installed on new mb. turn machine off , take out pen drive and turn machine back on . i had to set up hopper and coin mech as shown in scorpion 6 manual and machine was up and running again . Thanks to Fruitsnappa again .

  2. One very dirty machine but such a lucky find on my doorstep too! Had been in the same house for way over 25 years maybe more! I’ll post once refurbished and up and running 😊 looks an interesting machine too.

  3. @superbank I'll do another video explaining it (it is a one off as my channel has had most videos deleted and don't do great videos publicly for DIF anymore) and will put the link in another thread as even though I know Chloe don't mind us doing this here I will not. As Clooney said in From Dusk till Dawn at the end "I may be a bastard but not a fucking bastard"! Love that quote.

  4. You could just play the reels as you can work out roughly were they should land and you could get the machine happy enough to keep offering 4 nudges and just takes the lines when you can. These programmes had a percentage watchdog, so if the machine went too far under it would trigger a set of forced wins to level out the percentage. To combat this forced streak you had to take a win now and again to stop the machine getting too far behind. Say every £5 take a few quid. It would also depend the set percentage. You could click it if it started dropping in wins but this would potentially make the machine even happier as clicking these before the win even starts to count up in the bank would pay the full win on reset and that win wouldn’t be accounted for. 5. Well, well well. I've just checked the dips in my layout - dip 3 was up although it says it nothing in manual. So, switched if off.. guess what it gives change from 50p.

  7. Hey Martin Yep spot on mine does that 50p for 5 plays. I can take a picture of the dip settings for you to match mine if that will help, if my roms can be dumped and you get a copy made to put in your machine, then thats another option too 🙂👍 Either way it's doable to get your machine to do the same as the one I have 👍

  8. Hi @martinb thanks for the PM. Someone has already posted the dipswitch settings so that is not the issue. In the emulator it's tricky as well, think I used an used an unused button for 5 credits (no change). IIRC, it will show coins out from 50p change but nothing in so I found the 'hard' 50p button so to speak. In the end I gave up with the meters as it was a real pain and was unable to isolate a true meter reading (not that it matters in the real world), I even spoke to the late great Chris W about this issue regarding Special Series £100 meters going wonky after an update. Ok the emulator is not the same as the real thing but I'll have a look tomorrow after work. I did a brand new DX for Cabaret 100 about 2 years ago.. using my 20 year old MPU3 cabinet template, it's been sat in a folder ever since!
