  5. Or the lamps you'll need to find out if it's a chain of non workers as they are multiplexed. If you check out a diagram you should be able to suss it out. If it's single non connected lamps then it's likely to be holders or series diodes (in the holders). Usually a chain of lamps will fail and it's due to one of the strobe or data transistors failing. There could be anything from 8 - 16 lamps in a chain. Not sure about the 4th reel, could be the driver chip or driver transistors.

  6. The graphic design on 'WATERWHEEL' is absolute class! It's back on token play now. I'm using Phonographic 6d tokens, which are exact equivalents to the now-overpriced ACE ones. Accepts and pays out correctly. Just need to sort out the three-way acceptor, and associated switching. I can't have it giving TEN 6d tokens for two bob! If I can't find a Gold Award slide, I can turn over the 9-way bells card on my BFM LUCKY TWO'S to the all-cash side, and borrow that one. Compared to 'WATERWHEEL', my 'BIG DIPPER' is in a poor state. I can't remember where I got it, but it is the actual same one as seen in Ron's picture above. The wiring is a shambles, and LEDs are present! It started life as a 'WATERWHEEL', if the door label is correct. I'll be able to improve it, using the WATERWHEEL for comparison.
