  5. Sounds like fun... is it one of the hi techs? This one has rot on the bottom plugs so I will have to crimp them and change plug type. The board looks OK (don't want to curse it lol) there are a few other spots dotted around. The PSU has had a very bad leak from one of the big caps. The fuse leads had corroded through which probably saved the mpu board from getting powered up and destroyed. (Link wire not my handy work 😅)

  6. Hi Folks I've taken over the baton with this old girl. I just wanted to say a big thanks to Martin I'm over the moon with it. He said someone like me deserved it and did me a great deal on it which I thought was really kind. Thanks again 110% will be getting brought back to life 😎

  7. I’ve spent a bit of time on it today and the only issue is some signs of artwork deterioration that ideally needs some kind of stabilising paint/spray or whatever to prevent it getting to a point of flaking. It’s on the bottom glass around the reels where there is no plastic laminate, the rest is fine. Anyone done anything to seal the artwork with success or is a job fraught with disaster? You have to really look to see it but it’s defo there and will, in time, get worse I’m sure. Ideas and experiences welcome from fellow restorers. Thx Here is a photo of just how clean the cab is! I put castors on and under the bottom is mint too, never been sat in the usual damp/wet garages or sheds clearly. Also a quick few minutes play here too https://youtu.be/ChsAiLm_Ak0
