  1. Dark rainy nights - time to check the machines šŸ˜ ā€¦. As expected a few glitches, no lights on MPU4 swap-a-note so obviously PSU issue. Checked the 34v fuse that was ok, took PSU out and I had already replaced caps previously so I suspected bridge rectifier on 34v side but that was ok. Some hours later (literally lol) it was simply the link joint from top to bottom of board had become dry, a quick re solder flow and boom ! Back in action. Iā€™be got a couple more faulty PSUā€™s on the bench I hope to finally look at later today too. Couple of pics, the old MPU2 hi-lights fires up every time sweet as ready to play in about 3 seconds. They keep us busy ā€œkeeping the lights onā€ eh folks (see what I did there šŸ¤Ŗ) All other machines booted and working fine (for now at least).

  11. Looks like this one is an IO board failure. Tried everything suggested but all check out ok (power, ribbons etc) to no avail. One other interesting feature is the game will engage the coin mechs and try to spin the wheels but then freeze and give the 09 code.. but after a set time will then spin the reels perfectly. If then left the machine will go into attract mode, allow you to coin it up with all the correct sounds but not allow any button inputs! Very strange.. hay ho.. logic time šŸ˜‚

  12. Is that czech? Send a pic of the board where battery is. Do you have any other machines with an alpha in? Send a pic of the alpha. Did you check the harness, nice n tight with a good connection, no rusty or dirty pins?

  13. Check the pins are clean and tight. A dirty pin on the serial can cause issues. Had it plenty of times.
