  1. It was a hex hack. I got lucky, I managed to find the locations of the various routines and convert them to my needs. After all the time I spent studying code from similar machines that had the exploits in tact, the hack was 3 main parts. The first hack I located was the code that added one to the reel position to stop the original nudge setups, this enabled the old route to jackpots but they’d also implemented a token watchdog so after 3 token jackpots in quick succession the machine stopped nudging. That was the most difficult and time consuming part, fortunately I had an unchipped Reno Reels so noticed the code that allowed the nudges had some extra code on Monte, so I was able to match the Reno code. Was delighted it worked as it was getting a little tiresome. I was fortunate as the roms had no protection at all. When I had a BWB setup I was missing the chr chips for some of my favourite games. I actually figured out how to clone the chr so I could use my Monte Carlo CHR chip and run any of other BWB video games. That was a huge undertaking and again it was a massive time consuming task. I was buzzing though, I don’t think I’d have the patience or time to do it again, it nearly sent me mad J

  2. I've done it with Monte Carlo or Bust video, we didn't have the emptiable version, so by comparing code from similar machines I was able to put the emptier back in. It took a considerable amount of time to do this, it's not an easy task to undertake as it's extremely time consuming. I did enjoy doing it, but it's not something I would get too involved in again. If you are determined enough and you really want it then give it a go as you will find it difficult to get anyone to do this type of specialised hack for you, as I said it's extremely time consuming to do.
