I guess Mike it’s been a natural progression in my fascination for these machines (and the fact they all too often go wrong!). It starts with removing the battery, fly wiring, a bit of cleaning and maybe the odd link wire to ‘probing’ boards for logic and multi-metering traces -confused? me too but I’m trying and had a few successes 😊👍 I do wish I’d paid more attention in Electronics back at school ! 😬 luckily loads of people here who help and I’ve learnt so much from, just hope I can help others in the future as they have me.

Update …. The dreaded battery damage got off the game card and into the main board, so this afternoon I removed the game card connector from the MPU and revealed, as expected, yukky acid damage 🤢 and broken tracks. I’ll have a crack fixing it so ordered a new one (only a few quid). I’ll also replace the (now removed) IC directly below that was splatted and repair further track issues under it.

Do you think carrot dangling your not so freedom forum on a well respected Fruit Machine forum and having digs at other sites and staff is a good thing to do? Replying to old threads just so you can get an advert in and a 'hear what you could have won' etc etc... pretty shitty really and to be honest you now have your own forum so really should just fuck off over there and stay there and leave us to get on with ours.

The angle makes it a bit awkward, but I think the middle one used to be in 'Last of the Summer Wine'.

The pub i used to go to in the Mid 1990s when it was the £6.00 token jackpot used to take tokens for drinks/food over the bar , many times i would have about £20-£30 of tokens exchanging for pints of fosters for about £1.30 pint! it used to be a cheap few nights if you catched the machine at the right time!!
