  1. I’ve got a project manual somewhere don’t know what machine it’s for got a feeling it’s jokers wild but will have a look tomorrow.

  2. How about this... https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/aluminium-capacitors/2280444 Alternatively just buy a 'snap in' type with a mounting clamp and snip the spade terminals off.

  3. Once those connector pins run hot over extended periods they lose their grip and of course then they run hotter and so on... Renewing the crimps does help but the problem then lies with the pins on the PCB connector as they get tarnished. Some folks try to clean them up with emery paper but that just makes them smaller in diameter so it's not a good fix. The only sure fire method, if you want it kept original, is to find a scrapper and transfer the PSU plug (assuming it's still good of course) and also renew the female crimps. I have had some success with pressing out the pins with a vise and using some good ones out of a 15way spare plug. I've never seen these pins anywhere as a separate item and they don't appear on any of the manufactureres blurb. Mind you nor do the complete male plugs either but I suspect they come as fully populated but I've never managed to find an item code for them.

  4. As Martin said but worth paying particular attention to the white power plug. I’ve had the same symptoms due to the dreaded burnt plug issue with the 12v return pins. Before removing to have a look… if you power up with the back door off then sometimes just touching the white plug can cause the machine to spring into action.
