  1. naa, you need shellac, that is the only substance that will get in the windings and seal the coils, you have to take the transformer out and dip it thoroughly, believe me hot glue won't touch it! Shellac was widely used because it does the job of stopping the vibrations, probably a thig of the past these days!

  4. After some faff and trying different media for my DIY reel-bands I think these look pretty amazing! what you recon? The number reel looks tired now but it in good condition so will remain.
