  1. naa, you need shellac, that is the only substance that will get in the windings and seal the coils, you have to take the transformer out and dip it thoroughly, believe me hot glue won't touch it! Shellac was widely used because it does the job of stopping the vibrations, probably a thig of the past these days!

  2. Have you checked the electrolytics in the switch mode mode part of the circuit. I don't know this PSU but it used to be very common with switch mode PSU's that the small value caps used to dry up. They don't obviously show like the larger ones on the DC o/p rails with bulging tops.

  3. hello there does anyone know what the difference between supersidewinder and sidewinder is please? and was supersidewinder available in the uk ? i have a manual for supersidewinder by ace coin regards and thanks in advance richard
