Hi, thanks for the interest. I've had it switched on for 2 days. Just been out to check it, the startup error 53 has disappeared and its finally back to normal. Maybe I jumped the gun and should have give it a good charge 1st.

I take your point. I've seen your posts and repairs and you are clearly very talented. I suppose that as an enthusiast, you can take as much time as you like when doing repairs. However if you've agreed a price you would do it in the fastest possible time. The work you did here is something special. If your telling me that someone being paid a fixed price of £50 to repair a board would go to that extent, then I would have to question your logic. I simply had a question about charging. If people didn't want to answer, they didn't have to. People come to places like this for help, some have been just that, Martinb for one. Whilst others just like to jump on and throw negativity around, cool if that's your thing. "also a please or a thankyou would be good, Manner's doesn't cost especially when posting responses" 😉

..... meanwhile back to the battery issue, is it working now or still got that error ? It definitely needs to be metered for continuity between the battery and the tracks on the board it could be as daft as the repair has not sorted a bad track for battery supply? it could also be a component failure but start with the obvious noting it had battery damage. I don't know Scorp 4 boards (yet, got my first S4 machine on route) be nice if a fellow member could advise where to pick up the battery voltage on the board then you could check voltage too?

Well, I have this and Bluestreak back at home with me after a few years of hell and moving house twice! Thanks to all who helped me keep hold of these you know who you are! Had to part with the lot and am now starting again. No room for lots of machines but these two classics are staying well grounded. Hope everyone is well on here, its been a long time!
