  1. Although I have seen earlier games housed in generic ACE style cabinets and their history seems to start from 1971, Red Arrow if correct was the first factory completed AWP electro machine from JPM quickly followed by their first club electro Super Multiplier in 1973. Twin Arrow looks to be a similar build to Red Arrow although the one in auction has had win lines modified.

  2. I know not many know me on here but I'm quite well known on the arcade and pinball forums. Not sure if this is of any interest but I have written a book charting my arcade experiences throughout my life, a sort of autiobography but purely arcade related, including amonsgt others: - my first arcade encounters in the mid 70s at the fairground - the golden age of video games in the early 80s - getting hooked on fruit mahcines in the mid 80s - the explosion of pinball in the pubs in the early 90s - collecting machines in the 90s onwards - attempting video game world record scores - attending and competing in pinball comps UK and Europe - running the UK pinball league - UKVAC meets - arcade arts and crafts I've created There is one chaopter dedicated to fruit machines mainly from the early to mid 80s with rest focused abot evenly between video games and pinball. The book is 480 pages, appox 23 x 15 cm in size (like a large paperback), with some photos, mainly from last 15-20 years. Cost is £25 (plus £3.50 postage). I have a sample copy printed, see pics attached of some pages. Let me know if you would like to order a copy as will be placing a bulk order soon. Thanks Greg

  3. Hey! A lot of you know will know me from DIF as WonkySausages, but where are my manners, Just thought i'd say hello to everyone who isn't on there. Ive been around MFME or MPU3/4 as it was back then, along with JpEMU and BFMulator. Was also on fruit forums back in the day as RoadRunner80p - had some horror stories back when gambling was at it's worst for me. Love MFME and forever greatful for MFME and bless him, Wizard for all his hard work. I've spent a lot of the evening just reading through some of the threads on here - i've missed out! Even though I dont know the innerds of a fruit machine, I love watching and hearing about peoples projects and their stories from back the good old days - good or bad. I completely forgot I had registered here - so I have a lot of catch up to do. Thanks for reading everyone

  4. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354757517768?mkevt=1&mkpid=2&emsid=e90001.m43.l1123&plmtId=700008&mesgId=3024&mkcid=8&ch=osgood&bu=45344331772&trkId=9d71ce62-724e-4f2c-8c54-1dc0a4ce494d&cnvId=700003&recoId=354757517768&recoPos=1 Looks like a companion to JPM 'Super Multiplier', which I have a pair of. One has the metal START button, same as this; the other has plastic. I could do without the rest of the job-lot, though.

  5. Well here's my bargain of the year ( I know it's only January 😊) saw this machine on eBay early this morning thought it was to good to be true £30 bid or £50 buy now so I just brought it it's only 40 mins from me so went over to collect it and was pleasantly surprised there it was they have owned it for over 30 years and it hadn't been touched or used for many many years so I got it back stripped it down ( didn't switch it on ) took the mpu apart and was mint but it had the dreaded blue battery but it hadn't leaked I removed it anyway cleaned all the connections and cleaned 30 years of muck out of the cabinet refitted it all and switched it on and it worked perfect first time only needs a new potentiometer as the one inside is cracked there's sound but it's just a bit quite it also had half a tin of 10p tokens locked in the bottom which was a bonus as there were no keys to look inside but for fifty pounds half tin of electrical cleaner and some elbow grease and here's the end result very happy another old classic saved IMG_0974.MOV

  10. Just found this site and thought I'd stop in to say hello as what you lot are doing with our old machines is amazing! I worked at JPM from the late 80's to 2000 then founded Red Gaming in 2000. Pretty much responsible for the design of most of our AWP, Club, SWP and Export machines. Just found out that one of your members is trying to build a Red Dwarf from scratch and was very impressed! it was hard enough creating the original let alone trying to do it from a terrible picture and some ROMS! I'm now in Australia so can only admire what you are all doing from afar. It's also such a shame that neither JPM nor Red survived the turmoil in the gaming industry. The world is a poorer place for it.

  11. Funny what you find when you dig in the back of the cupboard.... I have a few old SP.ACE boards and one of them had a set of ROMs in it, turns out they are Twilight Zone, and from what I can make out they are a £3 set? Would appreciate if someone with better knowledge of the emulator could give these a go and let me know if they are ok. The verify good so here's hoping! Twilight Zone.zip
