  1. Sorry, I was on a very quick tea break and assumed by 'programmed' you meant it was something that I'd need to send off to someone. I'll have a better read of the manual now and see what I can work out This cabinet wasn't a Concept, but I'm pretty sure there is a big streak in it somewhere Will check that tomorrow, thanks

  2. yes you program these for routing, its in the manual for them. Then if you desire you can save the config in a Dallas key so if you replace it the new one can be programmed from the Dallas key causing less headache https://e-service.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/MEI_CASHFLOW_952X_952Xe_9510.pdf

  3. Collected this ACE conversion from Scarborough on Sunday. A decimal darts-themed game based on a pre-decimal ACE such as Monte Carlo or similar. The lights came on immediately, which is always a good sign. Freeing-off the game timer led to the reels running and stopping correctly; no clutch troubles here. HOLD came to life after a while, and occasional payouts were made. The reel deck contacts will be receiving attention next. There is a darts feature, with flashing scores of 2-4-6-8-10. Changing some bulbs plus a bit of freeing-off has seen this back in action. It appears to be skill, too. ALL of the reel symbols are numbers, on different coloured circles. The feature starts with the darts symbols in any position. There are NO Mills-type fruits on this machine. I'll try and work out how to post some pictures...

  5. Fixed another weird one today, a PC 92 that wouldn't boot from switch on? All the RESET circuit transistors had already been changed (someone's been here before) and the RESET pulse looked good on the scope. After a fair while of head scratching and getting nowhere I discovered that sometimes it would actually fire up just as it was switched off?? I then discovered that if I switched off for a few milliseconds and then back on it would boot correctly, run and behave itself impecably until the next power down. This didn't make any sense and from what I could see the CPU would only reset if it had a high voltage on the RESET line first before going low for 20ms and then back high again. It shouldn't need to be high first! So, it was out with the CPU and in with a replacement. I'm glad to say this then booted correctly every time. Trying the old one again just to see if I was going mad and back to the same fault. I've never seen this behaviour before especially as the chip appeared to be working in every other capacity. I do get some odd ones.

  6. Sometimes it's just a case of putting routing plug back in, remember this was a concept game. They would pay a full float easily when they hit there payout cycle, was easier for ops to remove route plug and let the hopper just fill to brimmed, these hold 450 plus when full to the top but did cause hopper jams with the weight of the coins on the motor. Not saying that's the problem here but they were loads that would do that.

  9. Main issue is the feet have gone missing and the base is being pulled apart.there are 3 rusty screws each side that are not doing much,so I have brushed wood glue deep into the wood to seal it and clamped till dry.then I will add new wood each side and fit new screws slightly higher up on sides and up from underside into the sides.then add my new nylon glides.this should make it solid and prevent further wear.the monitor was filthy and has cleaned up a treat.
