  4. Absolutely No Checksum I have been editing the rom file I dumped and it has been running fine in the emulator with no problems. I have not been able to get to the bottom of if it had a checksum routine or not or if the emulator fixed it on the fly. I've dumped a few roms this evening so I decided to burn an edited rom set for the Special Series where 50p gives 20 credits. If it works in the actual machine there is definitively no checksum on this machine the rom set I am testing. My stag seemed to not like programming the 2532 eproms for some reason so I burned the merged image on to a 2764 eporm and used one of my spare MPU3 cards. The edited boots and pays fine 🙂

  5. I couldn't see any reel sensors when I looked last night. There is the biscuit board on the reels, is this used for positioning or are there light sensors of some type sensors? Thanks for @riche100 for the warlord manual in the downloads section. 🙂

  6. I've seen this type of reel driver board before bob and was on a four reel electro type deck also from a sys100 ace clubber. My nifty has a totally different baord to this

  7. Hi Bob, I have the boards in the cage plus the board I call the reel driver board. We fitted the cage plus all of the boards except the processor in Nick's machine. We did not test the reel driver board as it was different due to the rainbows end being a clubber and the Nifty Nudge being a 3 reel machine. The reel driver board is this one:

  8. We could do with the reel interface board schematic as it's not in the manual? Shouldn't be too difficult to draw one up if there isn't one. Is the reel sensor board OK too?

  9. Re fitted the boards and cage, swapped out the 100v 220uF leaking capacitor on the reel driver board. Powered up and the situation is the same with credits being clocked but nothing else. Looked at the sys100 manual and noticed an orange wire with a disconnect terminal for the interrupt. Disconnected the orange wire and the machine starts, fires the coin mech solenoids and flashes the front light insert coin. But would not recognise a credit when the coin was entered. Reconnected the orange wire and the machine starts but didn’t boot properly, but would recognise credits from the coin mech. See video below: All of the boards were tested except the processor board and the reel driver board. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

  10. definitely repairable, The sensor fails with age, sometimes when they warm up they work, but yes bits are easily available... well they were when I did them, I did a thread on here about them years ago
