  1. Here's where the Repochs are at. Ive had a few 1am Stints this week, X3 finished yesterday and up and running so far... It's really satisfying from playing these 20years ago, to actually building some boards- it's like going full circle. The end two Rom sockets are currently left off... I want to make sure I'm happy with my RAM selection (low consumption + 0.2v higher memory loss trade off) Spark detection circuit currently off... its there to reset the boards so it's not needed at the moment. RJ45 and RS232 connectors left off...its 2023 these are as useful as a coaxial TV aerial. Can't really justify purchasing and fitting them. The green Dots are the IC's I've had to harvest from an original Epoch board. Spartacash is fresh in for this project and its not serviced yet...looking forward to playing it and I'm looking forward to trialing the last 2 boards. 20231208_205643.mp4

  2. Re fitted the coin mechs, adjusted and tested with old 50p and 10p coins, all worked fine. Test play went well, just need a minor adjustments to the solenoid on reel 3 as its not always engaging fully. I'll leave that to Dan to sort later. Other than the reel adjustment the machine is back up and running, ready for to go home and join Dan's electro mechanical collection.

  4. I’ve had an SRU Lite a Nudge deluxe for a while now, the machine has been perfect and has never missed a beat. I recently bought an SRU Eachway Nudger and this machine has been a bit of a pain to get in to a reliable playable state, I’ve been working through the faults and I’m getting there. While I have been working on the Eachway Nudger I have started to get some spares together. I managed to get a spare program card, in looking at the card and after recently getting some boards made for the 2708 programmer project from PCBway in china I thought I’d give it a try. First step was to strip the board and get back to the base pcb. Then scan the blank pcb to get the Gerber files created.

  5. Fantastic to see this old girl back to full working order . Notice that no3 reel looks like the solenoid is sticking a bit ?

  6. Traced the orange wire back to the diode board connected to the 10p and 50p in coin inputs. thanks @riche100 for the warlord manual. Checked the diodes and all was fine, still the same situation with the machine not booting properly with the orange wire connected. Checked the connections to the coin mechs and found that the 10p mech had been wired across the normally closed contacts and the 50p on the normally open. Switched the 10p wiring back to normally open and the machine booted up. Should have checked that at the start..

  7. Made some progress this evening. Dan came round with the cleaned and serviced reel deck. We re installed the reels and the machine still would not run. We found that if the orange wire is disconnected the machine will allow test mode to be run. Different tests can be selected with cancel and then selected by the start button. Good to see the lamps illuminating in order, the solenoids firing. (Except one that needs looking at) then the reels now move nicely in test mode. Either rotating through all positions or individually stepped. Here’s a video of the test. The problem is that the orange wire for interrupt is not working correctly. Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

  8. That doesn't sound good. I only know that the machine was bought by a friend of mind Dan who has asked me to help him repair it and get it running.
