I've got a machine being picked up by Proovia this week. Their feedback looks pretty good - most of the 1* reviews are from people asking why they didn't carry a grand piano upstairs and similar, and sellers 'overselling' them - claming they'll do everything like unpack and test (they are a courier company, like they have the time to unpack and test everything for customers?!) Mine is machine being collected from a garage and delivered to ground floor so hopefully all goes well. Solid machine, all metal body, and it'll be clingfilmed up (not shrink wrap as I forgot I ran out!!).
Total price the buyer paid was £88 which to be honest is very close to the £80 or so most other couriers I've used charged, but with a much quicker (hopefully) timeframe. He booked it all last night, it's due to be collected on Friday and delivered to him Saturday. Some of the £80 couriers I've used on FB e.t.c. have - while we got there in the end - involved massive delays while they plan routes, have van issues, e.t.c.
As for palletised - I've had machines collected via Palletline and it was great, but makes more sense when either doing large machines, or multiple machines per pallet. I had two dometops brought from Wales to the East Mids and it cost me about £75 from memory, and they came a day early - think they were collected on a Monday and delivered on the Tuesday or something else bonkers. Could have probably got another one, maybe even two on the pallet. If I were buying job lots that's the route I'd aim to take.
