    as you have a scope, my way of faultfinding would be to go round the address and data lines and see if any are low, usually don't make it past 2.5v on the trace. If you find one (or more) that's low it helps massively

    At least if they are from scrap boards they won't be far eastern knock off's and once socketed, easy to replace. You could be in for the long haul here Ronnie so take a deep breath.
