  1. I recently bought a Maygay Club Monopoly machine. It's in need of new bulbs and locks, but also it's not filling properly. The pound coins fill tube A to the brim then jam, despite there being two other tubes free (B and C). 20p's fill fine. Can anyone help? I actually tried filling it again, and this time the coins got stuck in the filling mechanism. Now the machine is beeping loudly displaying 10p filling error! argh. Funnily enough if the back door opens it is accepting coins fine (although still not in the right tube. Someone please help, I'll try to upload a youtube video to demonstrate the problem..
  2. I've had this machine sat in the garage for some time as I wasn't sure I could even salvage it. Artwork is OK, but buttons missing from the bottom, chrome badly scratched, but the worse bit is inside. Most of the lamp masks have melted as the previous dipstick owner had put 5w car bulbs in Now here is where I had a spot of luck. Recently, up came for sale a top glass and a bottom glass complete with surround and buttons The artwork was shot on both, but I plan to repair the melted lamp masks with the one on the other glass and just swap the bottom glasses over and use the new complete surround. Due to the bulb issue, the mpu was completely burnt out and the psu shot too. I do however have some spare mpu's that I needed to get around to repairing, so this gives me the incentive. Before anyone says - I'm NOT attempting to remove the damaged lamp mask from the good glass as it will likely damage the artwork. My plan is to remove the burnt/melted bits only and cut out the bits I need from the mask on the other glass. Oh yes, the jackpot decal was a poor photocopy, so need to make a new one
  3. Hey Everyone, I joined this forum a few days ago to try and get some advice and learn more about fruit machines in general as well as my Maygay club Monopoly machine (£250 jackpot). There are several articles similar on the internet however none of the advice given to those individuals has helped me so far. I've been working on this problem for 3 days off and on around work. I am quite confident to have a go and things being an electronics engineer however I do worry about irreparably damaging things I know very little about. I have a technical manual for my machine and cant help but think there should be a game manual as well but i haven't found a copy on the internet yet. The coin mechanism seems to be working for the most part it will direct all 10p and 50p pieces straight down to the cash box as it should. also all 20p pieces are routed in the correct tube and once full they will overflow down into the cash box correctly. The £1 coins are all directed into one of the three £1 tubes, it has a micro switch fitted top and bottom. I assume this is the correct one, as it has no mechanical overflow facility. Am I right in thinking once the top micro switch make contact with a coin, the mechanism should start sending coins into the other £1 tube? As the second tube has an overflow into the third tube which in turn has an overflow into the cash box. However this change over is not happening. the first £1 tube just fills up and up until it jams the coin mechanism. Also the light on the front to show that there is not enough money for an large payout is lit all of the time. I have removed and tested the micro switches on the tubes and replaced them back in their original positions, they all seem to be working, have a 12V feed in and when switched the power flows through the inbuilt diode and there is a 5V status change on the output that feeds all the way back to the board which is an M1b. Also I assume as the machine things it is low on funds it will not pay out £1 coins. I have had a pay out up to a maximum of £3 in 20p pieces but then it will lock up and an open back reset is required to clear it and continue playing. I have tested all of the payout solenoids and they all work in test mode but will not pay out during a game. When I called up an error report on screen I got the following information: Error 0 1.4 Error 1 1.4 Error 2 1.4 Error 3 2.5 Error 4 4.6 Error 5 4.2 However I have no information as to what they mean. The technical manual I have states a C435R Top Entry Validator however the machine has a ME115TS unit with a Me155 Coin Seperator Module. Is this possibly the issue? I am sorry for the essay but I was hoping to include as much as I could. I hope someone can help me get to the bottom of this problem. The back up battery is still on the board and from reading around I am seriously considering removing it and locating it somewhere else on fly leads. Is this a good idea? There is absolutely no damage to the board at the minute and the battery does look quite new. Thanks in advance for any help and if any more information is needed please ask and I will do my best to assist. Allan
