Hi All - I could use a liitle help please

First off hello, so i am a noob with the technical side of fruit machines and need some help in regards to the one i just purchased. So the machine i have bought is an SWP machine however its is rather unusual in the way that the jackpots are alot higher. Let me give you some details and i have two questions which i need answers too. so the machine came with two user manuals the original and a newer one , now the original states that the machine can be set at a £500 all cash win and also has the decals for this it also says that it is fitted with a heber pluto 5 casino board. now the new manual says the top prize is only £200 and is fitted with a heber 5 pluto board. i had adjusted the dil switches etc and it will not set at £500. So my question is why is this? is it due to the board or has the eeprom been altered? im not sure. my second question.... i have just fitted a nv10 note acceptor i had to set it to parallel and it works fine, however now the coin mech isnt working properly, the mech will take coins but does not issue any credits. my first thought is that the note acceptor has the wrong setting? hi could anyone help with my coin mech and battery? when I got the machine it was routing all silver into a dead end instead of into the cash box,after looking around the net I found an instruction manual for an sr5 coin mech (closest I could find to my c435a). I decided to have a play with the settings on the mech by turning the dial to E and changing the dil switch to eeprom/routing plug,unfortunatly this didn't work. since ive had the machine every so often it would alarm saying "note comms error" and it did this while I was messing with the mech......this is where it went wrong for me I unplugged the mech and plugged it back in without turning off the power as I thought it was the plug causing the error only now my mech refuses to accept any coins,have I killed the mech? whilst searching this site ive seen alot about batteries damaging boards so I checked this while I was messing about,there is staining under the battery and if I lightly press the board when in test mode showing dils all the values change from 0's to 1's, im guessing the battery is dead as everytime I turn the machine on the volume has reset to full and the payout percentage changes,does this sound right? look forward to any replies and any help is good as im stuck with fixing it at the mo but really want it working again neil
