Hi & Query re updating Maygay Machine

Hope it is ok to post query here. I have a Maygay Cash Attack machine with CF126 coin mech. It has a little black box attached which says Serial Converter. I have been told it cannot be upgraded to take new £1 coin. I can change the bulbs but that is about it. Any advice appreciated. May sell machi...
